Black spirals….Golden stars.

Black spirals
tremble
pushed by the wind
in the cave
where the serpent sees
below
the landscape fade
hanging on falling stars.

Golden stars rise up
from my open balcony
I see you
sitting
and stitching
underneath the blossoming orange tree
while the young man
trembles
before
your green eyes
and red lips.

Dear readers with these two poems I end my vacation at the cabin in front of the sea where each evening I wrote the poem of the day for you.
I thought it was a nice way to share with you my most intimate feelings during these summer days. Starting tomorrow, I will begin again with my articles…

Hasta la vista.

The silvery blooming star

As the night fades
the first rays of sun
dance
through the silvery blooming star
a spider’s web
to seize
the last shreds
of dream
that still float
in my eyelids
half closed.

Which moon… only the desert remains

She walks in chains
heart keeping rhythm
which moon
will welcome
her pain?
The lights turn off
in the air rising
spirals of smoke.
I see coming closer
a far
point,
only the desert
remains.

Sea, beach, stain

Only a weak memory
fading
now touches my aged heart
and yet the sea
the beach and the stain are ever those.

ALONG THE WHITE ROAD…

Along the white road
death goes
trampling
withered
orange blossoms
subdued the child
cries
on the bell tower
the bells are silent
the wind
slams the door
a dark shiver
goes through my soul.

How peaceful the sky is!

How peaceful the sky is!
The night comes
moon rays on a black sea
seem to keep the rhythm
of ancient songs.
The night comes
if you came to see me
you would find me in tears
under the olive trees.
The night comes
and I sink
in the hammock
near the jasmine.
As I close my eyes
lights of the big ship
disappear.

LOOKING AT THE SEA

The young staff members have gone away for a few days of vacation… and so I thought to come to my beach cabin in front of the sea… but here I found stormy weather. I thought about dedicating a poem to you… and I realize only now that I have never told you my true passion is to write short, essential poems, tied to nature:

Red thunderbolts
on the shadowy sea
hand contracted
tired eyes
reflected
in the cracked mercury
of the mirror
at the door.

TRAINING

Work.
A place that for too long has not been inhabited by true Christian thinkers.
Instead it is often populated by charlatans, improvised psychologists and failed, frustrated managers that want to redeem their personal failure by dispensing trite, empty, insipid little gifts and very expensive meetings, gatherings, seminars…
Everything beneath the pompous title of “TRAINING.”
And still today most Christian managers and workers are trained in financial and business principles that have nothing to do with the Christian faith.

Ruling class…often a double moral standard

It was always believed that the work world and its ruling class should stay far away from moral dictates and spiritual values.
It was considered normal for those in power to exploit, control and manipulate those under them.
Even believers think this sometimes…
Maybe it is for this reason that a double moral standard exists among the christian ruling class …. and so much so that they have fully married into the capitalistic, materialistic ideas related to work but in their social lives and families return to being “good”.
Come on!
We know very well that our personalities are not made up of sealed compartments… in these cases one can only be false.
Phony.

Work Ethics

After years in which the individual was valued only for being part of the labor force, in which groups and assemblies were the center of the company’s world, and the individual counted for nothing; it’s time to return to the concept of PERSONAL AWARENESS, as a positive and fundamental value on which to build a new company ethic.
The world is changing. We use the computer, where we are alone to work, to communicate and to meet each other… by now the entire organization of work is re-centering itself on the single person; no longer on the group.
In any role they occupy young people want to count in the work world. They want to take an active part in reaching company goals.
They are claiming the right to personal fulfillment.
