ALBISETTIAN PSYCHOSPIRITUAL ANALYSIS-MEMORY

ALBISETTIAN PSYCHOSPIRITUAL ANALYSIS

MEMORY
In the psychospirituality that is my hallmark, memory, like listening, is the overcoming of one’s own imaginary constructs and of one’s own narcissism. And, in fact, whoever is deprived of memory lives in a world of illusions. The past, which can no longer be changed, is outside our ego’s control and its desire for omnipotence. The past can only be listened to and interpreted as the root of the present. For this reason, memory of the past is important, both for Jews and Christians.
It is the covenant between God and man. Whoever doesn’t have that memory becomes closed in on himself and an egotist. Whoever lives with the memory of the free gift of the abundant love with which God loves us, becomes open, available to others, and courageous. In fact, memory, in Albisettian psychospirituality, is an important factor in personal growth and maturity.
In neurosis there is always the conviction of one’s own omnipotence – a refusal to admit one’s limitations. But in my psychospiritual analysis, only the remembered sin and the unforgotten mistake start a process of coming to a greater knowledge and acceptance of ourselves and of one another. It is serious to commit sin, but it is even more serious, not to remember it, not to recognize and admit it.

(Hebrews 10:32) “Remember the great challenge of the sufferings that you had to meet after you received the light, in earlier days; sometimes by being yourselves publicly exposed to humiliations and violence.”
(Isaiah 51:12, 13) “I, I am your consoler. Why then should you be afraid of mortal human beings, of a child of men, whose fate is that of the grass? You forget about Yahweh your Creator who spread out the heavens and laid the earth’s foundations…”
(Deuteronomy 4:23) “Be careful not to forget the covenant which Yahweh your God has made with you, by sculpting an image or making a statue of anything, since Yahweh your God has forbidden this.”
(Exodus 20:24)) “Wherever I choose to have my name remembered, I shall come to you and bless you.”

ONLY IN HEAVEN WILL MEMORY OF THE PAST NO LONGER BE USEFUL
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(Isaiah 65:17) “For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be remembered and will come no more to mind.”
