ALBISETTIAN PSYCHOSPIRITUAL ANALYSIS-REIFICATION

ALBISETTIAN PSYCHOSPIRITUAL ANALYSIS

REIFICATION
Reification is the psychic process that transforms a person into a thing. It’s that way for the word: The speaker of the word is no longer as important as the word spoken, which takes precedence over the person speaking.
In that regard, the history of Western theology has been noticeably affected by the reification of the word.
So for that reason, Albisettian psychospiritual analysis puts everyone on guard against idolatry.
God is inaccessible mystery – the creative and liberating energy of man and of life itself.
We mustn’t confuse our imagination with God’s reality.
We mustn’t mistake heaven for the finger pointing toward it.

BIBLICAL HELP TOWARD A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(Isaiah 46:1) “Their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden; the loads you have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.”
(Romans 1:22, 23) “While they claimed to be wise, in fact they were growing so stupid that they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an imitation, or the image of a mortal human being, or of birds, or animals, or crawling things.”
(Ephesians 5:6-9) “Do not let anyone deceive you with empty arguments; it is such behavior that draws down God’s retribution on those who rebel against him. Make sure that you do not throw in your lot with them. You were darkness once, but now you are light in the Lord; behave as children of light, for the effects of the light are seen in complete goodness and uprightness and truth.”
(John 8: 31, 32) “If you make my word your home, you will indeed be my disciples; you will come to know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
(Ezekiel 22:26) “…they have made no distinction between sacred and profane, they have not taught people the difference between clean and unclean…”
(Acts 17:29) “Since we are the children of God, we have no excuse for thinking that the deity looks like anything in gold, silver or stone that has been carved and designed by a man.”
(Ezekiel 44:23) “They must teach my people the difference between what is sacred and what is profane and make them understand the difference between what is clean and what is unclean.”

CONSIDERING GOD AS INACCESSIBLE MYSTERY
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
For us Christians, God is a loving Father, who is near us and cares for us. All His creatures, both angelic and human can and must know and love Him in order to have friendship, intimacy, and a constant relationship with Him. Jesus, speaking about God, said that whoever had seen him (Jesus) had seen the Father. In another situation he said: My food is to do the will of my Father, not my own will.
The divine goal is that the living universe (angels and men) know and accept His will so that they can share His joy and His creation in harmony – in communication and union with Him.
The Bible says: “God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. Love comes to its perfection in us…” (John 4: 16, 17)
God is the Alpha and the Omega – the Origin of everything, but without beginning or end Himself. We don’t have the ability or the mental capacity to understand everything about God.
There are certain spheres and certain kinds of knowledge that are at levels which are inaccessible to our human condition, competency, and understanding.
God made us in His image and likeness. He gave us many of His own qualities, and by means of prayer we are able to communicate directly with Him through Jesus Christ. In paradise we’ll be able to communicate directly with Him.
“All that he does is apt for its time; but although he has given us an awareness of the passage of time, we can grasp neither the beginning nor the end of what God does. I know there is no happiness for a human being except in pleasure and enjoyment through life.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:11, 12)
