The Paolines will also participate to the launch of the first catholic e-books on Christmas, with five books Including three by noted author Valerio Albisetti in electronic format – Happy Despite Everything, Dreams of the Soul, A Little Depression is Good for You – which already available starting December 15. Next week two classics – Letters from Ignatius of Antioch and Apostolic Tradition – will also be available.

The e-books will be downloadable on the ELIBER platform, the first catholic web platform for the distribution and sale of e-books, which is a collaboration between the St. Anthony Messanger and LibreriadelSanto.it and Messaggero Distribution. The ELIBER platform will be active tomorrow December 15, 2010, on the e-store www.libreriadelsanto.it

The following catholic publishing houses are participating: Paulines, Padua Messenger, Vatican Books Publisher, Elledici, Città Nuova, Cantagalli, Queriniana and Marcianum press.

Every book will be available for purchase and immediate download in 2 formats: ePub and pdf – but with only one payment. This is different from other e-stores where you have to pay for each format. The files, will always remain available to the purchaser in a reserved section of Libreriadelsanto.it. From there users can download new items whenever they please.

The choice to offer double format options came from the need of theologians, philosophers, historians, researchers to have page-referenced texts to be able to correctly cite the original.

In prayer, for publication.
