To be aware on a psychospiritual level means having understood that we must not deny ourselves but transform the level of our ego, with its contradictions and pain, with good and bad, with its masculine and feminine traits, to be able to evolve to higher levels of awareness. Taking our crosses on means taking off the mask and knowing how to interpret in a different way our defeats. Even losing health, if accepted as a personal cross, helps to raise us up and recognize that the kingdom of God is already inside us.
