I write after some days of seclusion in which I prayed and meditated. Interior peace is obtained with the purification of the senses, because these are what agitate us and hinder self-awareness. We cannot communicate with God if we have not purified our communication with ourselves. We have to be aware in imagining God because it can be fruit of our projection. Only keeping this imagining quiet can we enter into transcendence. Contemplation of God is necessary. It goes beyond good deeds and virtues and remains in the beyond. Today we do not need philosophers, but wise and contemplative men and women. To be ever vigilant and attentive, to purify the heart, the memory must be free from images of the past, and then the Spirit will illuminate us.
