Valerio Albisetti - Il viaggio della Vita

THE STRENGTH, POWER, AND SCOPE OF ALBISETTIAN SPIRITUALITY

Christian spirituality, which originates from the Holy Spirit, is Divine strength and power at work. God, by His free choice, created man with moral qualities, a spiritual dimension bound up with faith, various gifts, and the power to create (Genesis 1:26) so that man could imitate Him within his human limits.
Strength, power, and a personal, spiritual dimension result from daily, individual Bible study, the necessary nutrition for the spiritual person (John 4:34), which stirs the heart and reason to practice God’s Word in everyday life and urges each person towards love, the bond, the intimacy, and the recognition of our loving Father: God.
God doesn’t force anyone to do His will. It should be noted, however, that to obey Him is equivalent to protecting ourselves and choosing life and the good (Isaiah 48:17-19), and to disobey Him puts us in danger of ruining ourselves and choosing death.
Humanity’s choices, in contrast to God’s will (1 John 5:19), unfold themselves before our eyes and show us how disobedience to God leads man to a world of divisions, suffering, atrocities, ruin, death, etc…on individual, family, and world levels…and unfortunately, those who obey God also undergo the same consequences.
What is evil in God’s eyes at the moral, physical, economic, and other levels is now considered good in our world, and vice versa (Isaiah 5:20).
This is where the strength, the power, and the spiritual dimension step in for the faithful. God makes His Word a living and active principle in us (Hebrews 4:12). Besides that, He gives us superabundant strength (2 Corinthians 4:7), and, most importantly, He helps us understand events and veiled prophecies of past centuries* in order to encourage us and situate us within our own epoch so that we can be strong in confronting and overcoming the inevitable problems and adversities that come our way (1 John 5:3-5), and so that we can already see ourselves in His reign.

FOOTNOTE
*(Daniel 12:9, 10) “’Go, Daniel,’ he said. ‘These words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the End. Many will be cleansed, made white and purged; the wicked will persist in doing wrong; the wicked will never understand; those who are wise will understand.’”
GOD MAKES US UNDERSTAND THAT:
1 – Evil is on the rise.
2 – It is necessary to overcome evil with good.
3 – The problems created by disobedience to God (moral, economic, environmental, governmental, death, etc.) don’t have human solutions but divine – the laws of God being in harmony with His universal laws, which surpass man’s laws.
4 – God has already marked on His calendar the time when evil will once and for all disappear.
5 – Actual situations and events shouldn’t surprise us.
6 – If we eagerly seek God, He will give us the energy and strength to confront daily anxieties and problems.
7 – There are qualities and details we have to work on even now in preparation for being part of his people and reign.
8 – The Bible contains the laws of God and the foundations and rules of life that the people of God will live by in His reign.
