In LEARNING TO LIVE, my interview book published by the Paulines a few years ago, I affirm that for me the love relationship has meaning if it brings us to a reciprocal type of psychospiritual growth. This is a courageous affirmation in times like these where so-called colleagues in Italy confuse sex with love. Indeed, I do not accept the ease in which people talk about sex, maybe because everyone talks about it. The couple relationship is an inflated space, above all in the West. Even here there is a lot of superficiality and confusion. I have the impression that today the formal rite of matrimony remains but that deep down, we don’t know what it means. In my vision of love, on the contrary, we can do without sex, but not spiritual awareness.
