Any relationship with another is based on freedom – freedom from the need to judge, freedom to become aware of one’s own mortality, freedom to explore one’s own human nature, and, most of all, freedom to become aware of one’s particular mission in life and of one’s gifts, strengthened as they are by virtue, together with freedom to continually try to reduce as much as possible one’s vices. So, a logical question then arises concerning freedom and awareness, and one answers that question this way: Each one of us is dying, moment by moment. We’re all moving along together, but, at the same time, alone, along the way of reason so that we can understand each other’s God-given mission.
