The readers of my blog will have noted from its start in the Year of Our Lord 2013 that my postings deal with concerns of current interest and try to lead the reader to a deeper understanding of those concerns, utilizing all I’ve gleaned during the course of my writing career. On the other hand, my way of looking at life, shared in the numerous books of mine published in Italy by ed.Paoline, has always been a dynamic, not a static one of the human person. Stretching my roots down into Personalistic Humanism (In the 1980′s I started what I call Personalistic Psychotherapy.), I have now begun what I call Psychospiritual Psychotherapy, in which a person’s capacity for transcendence (what I call the psychospiritual way) leads to change, conversion, and psychospiritual transformation – and to committed social involvement. Confronted by major crises in politics, society, and the Church, what I call for is WITNESS in this difficult moment in the history of Western civilization (cf., my book, “life, Relationship and the Freedom to Love,” ed.Pauline 2012). The person I’m looking for plunges his roots into history, but lives in the present, constantly inspired by God. I like to use the image of a tree, whose roots reach deep into the earth, but which lives by stretching upward toward heaven, toward the light.
