Many mothers and many fathers don’t know how to smile because they don’t know how to analyze themselves. They don’t reduce their narcissism or desire for power. In order to defend this false vision of themselves, they project their interior needs onto those closest to them, usually children. We need to understand that we are not all-powerful and that life is marked by limits. We are not everything, but we do need everything.
