I haven’t done it, but to you all I say: speak only if what you say corresponds to the truth, speak only with a calm and warm tone, speak only if necessary.

We live in a deep state of dissatisfaction. This is the tragic nature of human life. Only a psychospiritual vision can redeem it. If we have access to symbols we will find the nourishment we need. If, instead, we fill our solitude with a type of idolatry, if we stimulate ourselves artificially, we will have the illusion of being alive, but we will live like the dead.

My psychospiritual vision includes the fall, and the return to ourselves. A labyrinth. Today, instead, we have TV preachers that give us the answers without having to go through the labyrinth. They don’t go through the body and soul, but pass directly to the spirit. The result is a banal religion, without strength

In times of crisis, if we want to render our lives important and heroic, we need to create a mythical universe in which the soul can speak. When people are brought up with a story, a myth–for example the Christian one–they have energy and vitality. But today this myth must be regenerated, because it is full of dead symbols. Without an authentic myth the person falls into neurosis, and civility and culture die.

If we continue to imprison ourselves in our own small story and wound, this wound will transform into a one full of bitterness. My meaning seekers instead, like me, believe that they belong to a much vaster story. Because of this they render their wounds sacred.
